The research project "Scientific model of copyright reform in the Digital Single Market according to EU directives" led by prof. dr hab. Ryszard Markiewicz (funded by the National Science Centre; project number: 2019/35/B/HS5/03671, competition Opus 18) began in July 2020.
The project aims to analyze the Directive 2019/790 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 17/04/2019 on copyright and related rights in the digital single market and amending Directives 96/9/EC and 2001/29/EC.
The scope of research work carried out by this team includes, inter alia, scientific and critical analysis of the provisions of Directive 2019/790, proposals and guidelines for the national legislator in the field of implementation of the provisions of Directive 2019/790, as well as assessment of legal solutions adopted in national law to implement Directive 2019/790.
The research team consists of the research staff of the Chair: Dr. Nicholas Ghazal, Dr. Michał Markiewicz, prof. dr hab. Ryszard Markiewicz (PI), prof. dr hab. Andrzej Matlak, prof. dr hab. Ewa Nowińska, dr hab. Justyna Ożegalska-Trybalska, dr Sybilla Stanisławska-Kloc, dr Tomasz Targosz, dr hab.
